Is it okay to use ';Distilled White Vinegar'; to wash clothes?

I bought this bottle at the store, I thought that because it has the word ';distilled'; in it, it would be different?

Can I wash (new) clothes with this, what does ';distilled'; vinegar mean?

Please tell me about it because I'm new to this, thanks! Is it okay to use ';Distilled White Vinegar'; to wash clothes?
Yes, it is ok to use, but know when to add it. Do not add it with the detergent. Add it to the rinse cycle. Cheap vinegar is ok. What you are after is the acid. It takes all the soap residue out of the clothes. My mother used this all the time. 2 oz.to 4 oz. is enough per load.

For smelly clothes, like towels that were left damp, add ammonia instead. And if possible, hang outside in the sun to dry.Is it okay to use ';Distilled White Vinegar'; to wash clothes?
The distilled means that is has be put through a process to remove any impurities. That's all.

I never used vinegar in my wash until just recently. It does wonderful for whites, especially if the water in your area tends to be ';hard'; or have minerals in it. The vinegar breaks up the minerals so they don't get deposited on clothes or in the machines. Vinegar can be used as a fabric softener also. It doesn't get things as soft as using a fabric softener but they are better than using none.

And vinegar will help ';set'; colors to prevent fading. Remember the easter egg die kits? We used to have to use white vinegar to set the dye color on the eggs.

For most laundry uses, 1/2 c. works fine. You can put it in with the detergent if you want to or the rinse cycle. I find that when doing whites, it's better to use with the detergent. And no, your clothes won't smell like pickles!
Use laundry detergent when washing your clothes. I've been doing laundry for many years %26amp; I have never used vinegar. I use Tide liquid %26amp; Downy fabric softener when doing laundry. If you want to pre treat stains on your laundry before washing it, rub some of the liquid detergent into the stain, let it set for a little while, then put it in the washer with the rest of the load.

If you don't want your darks to fade, use a detergent that's formulated to use in cold water.
vinegar removes soap and detergent, so use it in the rinse, instead of fabric softener. I use it all the time, especially for towels, as they should never be washed or dried with fabric softener or dryer sheets.\Towels lose absorbency when fabric softener is part of their treatment in the laundry room.
add it to the final rinse, also can be used for cleaning glassware, widows, mirrors etc. 20-50% with water, also ideal for hair conditioner 25%
