  • Female dog has very offensive urine. Washed in baking soda vinegar H2O?

I am seriously considering finding her a home the smell is so bad. What can I wash her in to get rid of the odor. I cannot afford a vet.Female dog has very offensive urine. Washed in baking soda vinegar H2O?
Find her another home. She sounds like she has a urinary tract infection. If you can't afford to take her to the vet, then you really can't afford to keep her.

You are probably feeding her Ol' Roy or some other nutritionally bankrupt food. If she was eating a high quality food, she would be less likely to get sick. But if you can't afford the vet, you can't afford good food for her either.Female dog has very offensive urine. Washed in baking soda vinegar H2O?
You may want to try changing her food.
I think you should consider finding her a new home. Make they are aware of her problem so it can be taken care of, probably one Vet visit and medication is all it will take. It is probably a urinary tract infection which can be cleared up with medication. Washing the dog will not help as it is an internal problem. I can not believe how many people have pets and can not afford vet visits. Having a pet is like having a baby, along with ownership comes responsibility and unfortunately money. Owning pets can get very expensive. Only committed people should own pets who can take care of them properly. Even those who love animals are sometimes the worse offenders. So my advise is if you can not afford a vet find a good home for your dog. A home with people who can afford to take care of him/her. It is your responsibility to take care of this, you owe the dog the chance to be both happy and healthy.
First off, baking soda and vinegar neutralize each other. If you use them both at the same time they won't do any good. Secondly, if the dog smells because of her own urine even after you have bathed her, then there's something seriously wrong that a different cleaning solution isn't going to fix. Fist off, she needs to be house trained. If she is already housetrained and having accidents in the house and getting it on her, then it is most likely a urinary tract infection (UTI). The other possibility if she smells very foul and you are sure it is coming from ';that end'; (and she is not spayed) is a pyometra...a serious and life-threatening infection of her uterus. Either way the only responsible thing to do is take her to a vet to rule out any health problems. If a vet has cleared her of any health issues, then it may just be that you are one of those people who are offended by doggie odor and should find her a new home and never get another dog. ALL dogs smell, some dogs have a stronger odor than others and some people are more sensitive to it than others. But ALL dogs smell to some degree and you will NEVER be able to get rid of that smell completely regardless of what kind of cleaning solution you use.
What you can do is give her more fresh water to dilute her urine. Or you can potty train her to just go pee outside of the house on the grass. If that still doesnt work out then you can just give her daily walks and have her pee and do her other business at a park or something. Good luck.
Guess you are one of those ignorant people that don't know that a dog is a lifetime committment.

You don't find a dog another home because she smells. GEEZ! She's probably sick. Take her to the vet. Put it on your charge. Make payments. Do something responsible for your pet that depends on you for everything. People like you get me sick!
It could be a urinary tract infection or kidney problems. It could actually be quite serious.

Not to sound mean but if you can't afford to properly care for the dog, maybe she would be better with someone else? Especially if she ends up with some health problems (sometimes a dog is prone to UTIs and needs to be treated several times through their lifetime). If it smells that bad she is probably pretty uncomfortable.

Some veterinary hospitals are actually pretty nice about this because they understand and would rather help the dog. They will ask you to give up ownership but then they will treat and find the dog a home. I know the Banfield hospitals have a policy for this very scenario.
Are you kidding? Dog stinks and you are going to find a new home.. Can't afford the vet?? Check the food you are feeding.. Good health starts within.. If your dog stinks and it's clean then there is a problem. If you aren't going to see the vet, you are neglecting and abusing your dog.. Find the poor thing a home maybe someone will take proper care of her...
First determine whether the dog has a bladder infection or other health issue. Also, is the dog spayed? I wonder whether this could contribute to the problem. But, what I am really wondering, is why the dog has urine on her fur? Is she laying or sleeping in the urine? Dogs don't usually do this. It is not good for the dog, or healthy for you. What can you do to change the set-up so that the dog does not have to lay in urine? I would definitely check to see if she has a bladder infection or other health issue. If she does, and gets worse, it could cost more, in the long run. Check to see if there is a low-cost clinic or if the Humane Society has a lower rate you can pay for treatment if she needs it.

What will happen when you mix washing soda and vinegar?

It will dissolve and give off lots of bubbles of carbon dioxide gas, as well as dragging the smell of the vinegar along with it into the air.

Why do we add vinegar or salt at the time of washing new clothes if colors bleed?

Most dyes are done in an acid bath. By putting vinegar and salt in the first wash of new clothes gives them a bath in ';acid'; which reinforces the dye.

Laundry soaps are 90% alkaline (as any soap is). When you wash new clothes in detergent, you accelerate the dye loss because you have placed them in an alkaline environment. Same for subsequent washes.

You may ask then why not make ';acid'; soaps? Because alkaline environments do better at solubilizing and suspending dirt. Also alkaline better helps to remove oils, fats, and proteins which make up a large part of ';regular'; wear dirt.

Any of these ';new'; products for black clothes only or any other type of ';special'; soap just plays on the balance between acids/alkalies or PH Neutral environments so that the color stays better and is enhanced by some fiber enhancers. Why do we add vinegar or salt at the time of washing new clothes if colors bleed?
I've been told the acidic content in white vinegar will help ';set'; the color in. But obviously, as you wash, the dyes will wash away too.

I've never added vinegar to my wash cycle, only the rinse cycle though.....well,, by adding it to the fabric softener compartment, which essentially is the same thing.

Can I put vinegar in the washing machine, with my clothing. . . ?

instead of javex bleach? I have some towels that seem to have mildew or something, I want to be more green and so I don't want to use bleach. But I know bleach would kill the mildew, so if i use vinegar instead, will that work just as well? If not what can I put in the wash to kill the mildew? I have tried just washing them in hot water with soap, but the mildew is still there. Can I put vinegar in the washing machine, with my clothing. . . ?
vinegar will not likely kill the mildew. I would use Borax or an oxygen bleach. I do use vinegar as a fabric softener. Can I put vinegar in the washing machine, with my clothing. . . ?
Mildew can stain even after it's died so you need something that will both kill it and address the stain. I'd try Borax for a more eco-friendly alternative to chlorine bleach.
    I hope this helps...

Who uses Baking Soda/Borax/Washing Soda/White Vinegar in the laundry?

I use baking soda in the wash, it removes odors, and softens the water to help the detergent work better. I use the amount of detergent for a small load, for an extra large load. Then I use the white vinegar in the rinse. Not only does it work as a great fabric softener, it also kills germs and bacteria. I use vinegar for all sorts of cleaning jobs; from laundry to kitchen and bath counters, to windows and mirrors, and tile and linoleum floors. It's a great natural antibacterial and germ fighter.Who uses Baking Soda/Borax/Washing Soda/White Vinegar in the laundry?
I use baking soda as a water softener; and white vinegar as a clothes softener I get both at the dollar store. Vinegar does just as good a job as expensive softeners like Bounce etc and is much cheaper.

I use borax occasionally for really Gounod in dirtWho uses Baking Soda/Borax/Washing Soda/White Vinegar in the laundry?
I use Washing Soda on a somewhat regular basis, especially for things like really dirty jeans, sweaty gym clothes and dirty white socks. It does make the detergent work better and gets rid of odors that you'd rather not have around!

It's cheap and you don't need to use a lot!
I use baking soda on a regular basis, but have never used white vinegar. Might help with the whites, but white vinegar is kind of expensive isn't it? 5 pounds of baking soda is CHEEP! CHEEP! CHEEP! Especially at COSTCO.

I use white vinegar in the coffee maker to clean the calcium and **** out.

Washing out hair dye with white vinegar?

I've read somewhere that it helps bring out a better color. Is that true?

I'm in the process of bleaching my hair right now, then afterward I'm going to apply red dye to it.

Hey, please help me, what is the chemical formula for vinegar or washing powder?????

This is urgent!!!!!!!!!Hey, please help me, what is the chemical formula for vinegar or washing powder?????
vinegar is acetic acd (ethanoic acid) with chemical formula

    CH3COOH

washing powder is usually made from sodium carbonate, chemical formula Na2CO3Hey, please help me, what is the chemical formula for vinegar or washing powder?????
Washing powder is sodium carbonate Na2CO3. Vinegar is produced by fermentation of ethanol and contains acetic acid, CH3COOH.
Vinegar is mainly made up of H2O and is not a substance, therefore does not have a chemical formula on its own. The small percentage 4-8% of diluted acetic acid mixed with water, has the chemical formula CH3COOH or HC2H3O2.

Sodium carbonate, chemical compound, Na2CO3, soluble in water and very slightly soluble in alcohol. Pure sodium carbonate is a white, odorless powder that absorbs moisture from the air, has an alkaline taste, and forms a strongly alkaline water solution. It is one of the most basic industrial chemicals. Sodium carbonate decahydrate, Na2CO3路10H2O, is a colorless, transparent crystalline compound commonly called sal soda or washing soda.

erm no ive never done it but ive used lemon juice which is really good

Would using just vinegar alone, do a good job in washing clothes or can I make my own detergent without borax?

Vinegar will work well for cleaning and freshening the wash, but it doesn't entirely lift body oils, so I'd wash every so often with soap or detergent (you can still use vinegar in the rinse to prevent soap buildup). Plain grated Ivory soap works fine and is dead cheap.Would using just vinegar alone, do a good job in washing clothes or can I make my own detergent without borax?

Which is the best method to disinfect my washing machine and eliminate its funky odor? Bleach, vinegar and how?

    Try this hint from Heloise:

    1. Set the washing machine on the highest water level, temperature on hot and the wash cycle to normal.

    2. Fill a gallon jug with hot tap water. Once the cycle begins, let it run for a minute or two, then stop the cycle, open the lid and slowly add the gallon of hot tap water. Don't overfill 鈥?you just want to raise the water level so that it is able to reach and clean the inside top rim.

    3. Add 2 to 4 cups of household chlorine bleach and restart the cycle. In a couple of minutes, stop it again and just let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Afterward, let the cycle finish, and open the lid to air out the inside.Which is the best method to disinfect my washing machine and eliminate its funky odor? Bleach, vinegar and how?
Try doing a load of whites with bleach, and letting them soak awhile, or an empty load for that matter. I've done it numerous times, but try not to forget there's a lot in there. If there's something I'm not able to dry right away, I leave the lid open when the wash is done, that way I remember there's a load in the washer %26amp; it keeps the mildew from forming.Which is the best method to disinfect my washing machine and eliminate its funky odor? Bleach, vinegar and how?
Use baking soda in a washload of clothes.
Run a normal cycle with an empty machine using bleach or a strong neutralising disinfectant.
Run an empty load with nothing but a couple cups of straight bleach and it should sweeten up the washer... just be sure it rinces everything well.
Put a cup of bleach or vinger run small cycle hot water.
wipe up under the flap ...then do an empty load with bleach or vinegar
I have never had that problem because (as tikitiki suggests) when we do our towels weekly we add a little bleach and then when the machine is not in use, we leave the door ajar.
run bleach and detergant together threw a cycle with nothing else in it and do this for how ever long it takes to satisfy you with the smell.
The funky odor is actually stale water in the bottom. Undo the drain hose, with plenty of rags around. Put back on and run an empty load with a washer cleaning product found at your local mom and pop hardware store.

  • Can you really wash a relaxer out by using vinegar?

i had gotten a few relaxers in 2007 and i hated how my hair was now always dry and flat. so i thought i could grow the relaxed hair out but its not working like i thought. one of my closest friends has a relaxer in his head. he told me today how he was going to get dreads this summer. i was like how can you do that with a permed head sweetheart? he told me he was gonna wash it out. i was astounded. i was like can you really do that? so later on my mother and i went out to get some ice cream and i asked her about it. she said you can with vinegar. i was like yea right. are you serious? ive been trying to make my hair back natural for months and now you tell me. so i just wanna know is that really true just b4 i try it tomarrow. thx!Can you really wash a relaxer out by using vinegar?
I dont know if it is true. But, recommend you braiding your hair or just going for the BIG CHOP.

I am natural and I just cut all my hair off. You can get you hair back to a more natural texture but it does take time.

ok well a relaxer changes your hair on the inside.. nothing you do will change what it has done. think of it like this. Kind of one of those things what is done is done. It really changes the entire makeup of the hair strand and it just isn't reversable.. sorry:(
NO!!!! That's a lie! When you get a relaxer it changes the structure of your hair strands individually, you can't wash it out. You hair has been chemically treated to permanently change the texture.

How do you drain a dishwasher when the dishes are already washed? do you use vinegar and baking soda to unclog?

the drain? How do you drain a dishwasher when the dishes are already washed? do you use vinegar and baking soda to unclog?
I always unload the dishwasher and then clean all the filters on the inside of the washer. Make sure your sink is draining well. Then run the rinse cycle only. This usually does it for me. Once a month I spray vinegar on the inside of the dishwasher and let it sit, then run the rinse cycle with no dishes. This helps with hard water build up. Good luck! How do you drain a dishwasher when the dishes are already washed? do you use vinegar and baking soda to unclog?
If your dishwasher isn't draining then you will have to take off all of the shields on the bottom of the unit (on the outside) then you will see the motor. Unplug the dishwasher then put your fingers in the motor and start to turn it to free up the motor, the motor is kinda like a vacuum cleaner belt, so when you hand turn the motor your allowing the belt to slip back into it's grove. then when your done plug it back in (after your hand is out of the motor lol) then turn the dishwasher on and it should drain.

    Hope this helps,

    Handyman.
The outlet of the dishwasher is normally connected to the sink waste pipe. I suggest you remove any blockage from here.

You can also remove the Centre filter from the machine and clean.

But I don't think the machine is the problem because it is fitted with a fine coarse filter. I think the problem is at or close to the waste outlet at the sink.
Remove dishes pull the dishwasher out from the space then unhook the waste pipe and lower into a washing up bowel this should et rid of the surplus water if you have already checked the filters re attach the waste pipe and then run the machine with no load to try to unclog the pipe. good luck
You have to disconnect the drain hose from the bottom of the dishwasher and let the water empty into a pan.

Soaps and shampoos are alkaline based chemicals.

For some reason, the soapy alkaline scum coats your hair shaft with a film that builds up and makes your hair dull and icky.

Put about an ounce of vinegar (a shot glass is a good measure) in a large plastic container and fill with 3-4 cups of water.

After you wash and rinse your hair, use this vinegar solution as a second rinse, working it through from your scalp to the ends of your hair. If you think it smells strong (it shouldn't because the vinegar should be very diluted) you can rinse again with water.

The vinegar is acid based and so cuts through, dissolving the soap scum and leaving your hair squeaky clean and shiny.Rinsing hair in vinegar for shine? White or apple cider (filtered or not)? Rinse after i wash or before? If so?
Not only will the vinegar make your hair shine but it will also make it softer. It really doesn't make any difference as to which type of vinegar you use. You rinse it after you wash it and then rinse it again after you use the vinegar. I've done this for many years and it definitely does work.
My mom does that! She uses apple cider vinegar (she always says not to use white) and rinses her hair with it (diluted with water, of course) AFTER she washes. Then she just rinses her hair again. Her hair looks nice and shiny (and it's not greasy). That's supposed to strengthen your hair, too (according to my mom), make it fall out a lot less.

    *EDIT*

Oh, yeah, I forgot: use filtered vinegar.
I've heard that apple cider vinegar (filtered) is better. I've also heard that it's best to use it between washing and conditioning.

And for the record-- when you use vinegar in your hair, you will smell it when it's drying, but the smell is gone when your hair is dry.
Washing hair in vinegar only worked to restore shine when women used regular bar soap to wash their hair. The soap left residues in the hair, and the vinegar stripped away the residues. It won't work if you're already using hair shampoo. Sorry.

Urgh - no. Nothing that you put on your hair or scalp will make your hair grow faster. It will just make you smell like a chip shop. Vinegar will damage the hair structure and make it dry and brittle, so it will actually appear to be growing slower than before.Does washing your hair with vinegar make it grow faster?

Probably cuts down on the natural oils in the hair, but it sounds like it could dry hair so I would be careful using it.

Please HELP** I washed my dogs ears with equal parts applecider vinegar and water exactly as directed?

And now she is crying and going crazy shaking. Is this normal?

This is the first time I have ever done it, but I went by the directions and she looks to really be in pain/discomfort now.

Is this normal for dogs after the apple cider vinegar treatment?

Please help, thanks. Please HELP** I washed my dogs ears with equal parts applecider vinegar and water exactly as directed?
Honey I have never heard of putting apple cider vinegar in a dog's ears. I've heard of white vinegar and water but not the apple cider. Call the vet. I'm so sorry. Please HELP** I washed my dogs ears with equal parts applecider vinegar and water exactly as directed?
Did you POUR the formula into her ears, or did you dip a cotton ball or swab into the formula and wipe it around inside her ears?

If you did the latter, it could just be simple annoyance or irritation, if you did the former, it's probably uncomfortable.

You shouldn't pour the mixture directly into the ear - you should always just use a cotton swab or ball to gently wipe the ear clean with it.

Though - you don't have to use ACV.. you can also use peroxide.

50/50 water equal parts just the same - it may cause less problems.
You're supposed to use WHITE vinegar for the 50/50 solution, and use a saturated cotton ball to apply it. I would call your vet. Vinegar is an acetic acid, you know! :o It can actually cause damage if not used properly.

If the dog's ears had any scratches inside, they are burning from the acid. It's very important that you remove any of the vinegar with cotton. Don't leave it sit in the ears. Please do contact your vet for detailed instructions, to be safe.

Also, if your dog has an infection that isn't caused by yeast, this could hurt instead of helping.

I would ask your vet to sell you a safe ear cleaning solution and show you how to use it properly.

Best of luck to you and your pet!
no, it's not normal! vinegar is an acid and her ears are burning! imagine shaving your legs and them pouring vinegar on them. you need to rinse her ears well, dry them with a papertowel and put something soothing like aloe vera on them--a very light layer.

next time, use a saline solution to clean her ears. you can get it at walmart in the pharmacy area. ask the pharmacist working and tell him what you need it for and he'll advise you. please don't do the vinegar thing again. then give her a treat.

    good luck!
I think you should have used the white vinegar. You may want to call the vet and ask about this. You also only need to use a small amount in the ear to clean it. If he is this distressed, call the vet.
She may have had sores in her ears, and it could sting... if you poured the stuff in her ears, it could be stinging too -dogs are sensetive to liquid in their ears.
    Any parental supervision involved, here?
Take him to a vet and buy a proper pet ear cleaner.

It's only going to cost $50

Washing clothes with just baking soda and white vinegar?

I've read that doing a load of laundry with just a cup of ordinary baking soda and a Downy Ball with some white vinegar in it will do a good job. Has anybody ever tried this?

I'm sensitive to fragrances and dyes so I normally use a ';Free %26amp; Clear'; laundry detergent, but this baking soda/vinegar combo sounds interesting.Washing clothes with just baking soda and white vinegar?
Using them singly would be ok, but when you pour vinegar over baking soda a chemical reaction occurrs -- the old science project volcano thing. Great way to clean out your sinks. good luck.Washing clothes with just baking soda and white vinegar?
I am going to say baking soda will make a big difference. I not sure about the vinger or not. I dont think it would hurt. But I am not sure if the smell might stay. I would try a couple of things first before doing a whole load. I would also say. You might need something that will for example if you have something real dirty or with spots ,. I do not think either one of those will come clean. But once again no matter what anyone tells you . Only wash something that is not real special to you so you dont ruin it. Good luck

Will washing my clothes in white vinegar make it smell like white vinegar?

So I heard that if you wash your clothes with 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle, it removes lint and softens your clothes. I am having a huge problem with this black sweater I have that keeps getting lint on it.

A lint roller just wont work for me. So I was wondering, will washing it in white vinegar make it smell like vinegar? I heard some people say yes, some people say no.Will washing my clothes in white vinegar make it smell like white vinegar?
I have never heard of using vinegar for lint but it's great for removing odor, sour towels, urine stains, sweaty clothes, etc. I use quite a bit depending on the size and smell, and the clothes never smell like vinegar. But, maybe try washing the sweater inside out and with not many clothes in the load, and of course there is always the lint roller. Will washing my clothes in white vinegar make it smell like white vinegar?
Using white vinegar in the final rinse will not leave odor in clothes. The odor dissipates when the clothes are dry. 1/2 cup vinegar per FULL load of clothes is sufficient. If you're washing a smaller load, 1/4 cup should do.

A good detergent can make a difference too. I really like Woolite for Darks. Unfortunately, it is not made in an HE formula. So now I use Tide Total Care. It does a great job on nice clothes.

When you wash the sweater, turn it inside out. That will help to keep lint off of it. Turn it right side when you hang it to dry.

I wash all my nice clothes inside out. That prevents lint, pilling, and any other damage. I also make sure everything is buttoned and zipped before I put it in the washer.

    Hope this helps!
No, I've never had a problem with vinegar smelling clothes and I use vinegar in all my laundry loads.

For me, I put it in place of the fabric softener....my washer has a liquid fabric softener dispenser, so I put the vinegar in there. Manual states the fabric softener dispenser is released during the rinse cycle, so it work's the same.

Between the rinsing, and then the ';last rinse'; and then drying, I never smell vinegar.

I'd say give it a go.
I have used it on my clothes before and the vinegar smell went away once the clothes were dry. A couple times when I used too much they smelled a bit vinegar-y for a couple hours but I just let them air out and it went away quickly.

I'm not sure that vinegar is the best thing for this though- I don't know that it works too well for this type of lint problem. Have you tried lint brushes or sweater combs? The lint brushes work way better than rollers on sweaters and those stupid lint ball things they get, they are $3-4 at Walgreens. Also they make sweater combs that kinda cut off the lint bumps, I've never tried them though.

Anyway, vinegars prob. worth a try, if it doesn't work or smells weird just rewash normally and the smell would definitely disappear. Just google first to make sure the fabric doesn't get damaged by vinegar.
Are you sure it is lint and not soap scum? Try the vinegar, it helps with the scum. In the future you may have to wash the sweater by hand, away from other clothes as it sounds to be a great magnet for stuff.
I use white vinegar in the rinse, and have for years. I don't smell vinegar in my clothes, and my family hasn't complained. Try it, see if it works for you.

Is it safe to use a tea kettle whos chrome coil turned blue after washing it with water and vinegar?

I bought an electric kettle that has a chrome coil at the bottom which heats the water. To clean the water stains on the sides of the kettle, I used boiled vinegar and water. The water stains went away but the coil turned blue. Is it safe to continue using the kettle to boil water? Is it safe to use a tea kettle whos chrome coil turned blue after washing it with water and vinegar?
Perfectly safe. The discolouration is caused by the acetic acid in the vinegar and it is merely that, a discolouration.

    Sounds like fruit flies.

How do you get gnats out of your house. dont tell me to use vinegar and dish washing?
they are not gnats but fruit flies and they probably came in with your groceries or garden produce. Once indoors, you need to remove their food source or they will continue to multiple.

    This is done by

    1) keeping the kitchen trash covered and emptied on a daily basis.

    2) capping open bottles of food stored on the shelf, such as vinegar and jams.

    3) storing your fruit and veggies in the refrigerator.

    4) wiping down the counters regularly ~ you don't need clorox, hot soapy water will do.

    5) washing your dirty dishes immediately after eating.

    6) drying off standing water on the counters and behind the sink.

Unfortunately, it takes this kind of work to kill off the flies.

I have had a gnat problem in my kitchen too recently. I would like to know as well how to get rid of those pesky buggers!

  • Is washing vinegar to your hair can get rid of head lice?

iIs washing vinegar to your hair can get rid of head lice?
It is great you want to use a natural alternative to kill the headlice. The chemical treatments have become ineffective because head lice have become immune to them. These treatments also have the potential to cause serious harm. There are much better natural remedies than vinegar though.

Suffocation is an effective method where oil based products (i.e.: mayonnaise) are used to block the breathing holes and kill the live lice. The real trick though is to find natural products that will kill both the live lice and their eggs in one fast effective treatment.

Remedies containing Neem Oil are known to be highly effective as Neem interrupts the growth and reproduction of the head louse. Neem鈥檚 insecticidal properties are widely recognized now and the oil is commonly available at your local health food store.

Feel free to check out the articles at the following site for more advice.

Good luck.Is washing vinegar to your hair can get rid of head lice?
No, you actually need to go to the drug store and get Rid or the generic version, a pesticide is what you need. The lice lay eggs on the hair shaft so after the actual lice are dead the nits have to be removed by hand. Yes, pulled off of each strand of hair and disposed of as to not re-infest the head. It's tedious work and after I think 7 days you have to retreat with the Rid shampoo.

Just do it right the first time!
i work in a hair salon and i know for sure that will do nothing you need to go to your local drug store and buy either the complete rid kit or get lice MD and you must do all steps and even when it says to repeat in 7-10 days you absolute have to repeat..if you dont you may have a couple nits left in there and they could hatch and you would have a ton more lice. hope i was helpfull
No, getting a good head lice repellent is the best thing.

Vinegar attracts other things to the head.
I dunno, try tea tree shampoo and conditioners. They work well.

Can washing lettuce and tomatoes with white vinegar effectively clean and disinfect them?

If not, what other cleaning agent (except liquid soap or chlorate bleach - I hate the taste that they give to the lettuce) is effective and healthy (not man-made chemical)? Can washing lettuce and tomatoes with white vinegar effectively clean and disinfect them?
Yes but I don't understand why you want to 'disinfect' a tomato. Simple washing under running water will remove most traces of dirt, if they are present at all. Most of the bacteria on fruits and veggies are harmless and help serve as immune system targets. Allergies are caused by our obsessions with sterility.

Organic lettuce, however, may be contaminated with E coli if fertilized with animal manure. Vinegar will kill E coli. But if it doesn't look dirty, it should be fine. Can washing lettuce and tomatoes with white vinegar effectively clean and disinfect them?
I use vinegar on my vegetables, also on my floor with a mop. To the best of my knowledge it disinfects. I also use non-toxic biodegradable cleaning supplies.
I'm a culinary arts student and I've worked a salad station, and we never used that stuff.

We just put the lettuce in a big tub of water and let it float for a few minutes. Its amazing how much dirt comes off when you do that.

Thats generally how restaurants do it, no vinegar or anything. Noone gets sick from it.

Is it safe to use apple cider vinegar for vaginal washing to cure yeast infection if your pregnant?

Douching with DILUTED cider vinegar will work for a yeast infection. It created an acidic environment so the bacteria can not live. HOWEVER you should ALWAYS seek the advice of a physician before doing anything when you are pregnant. They would probably advise using Monostat. It's works fast and usually will get rid of a stubborn yeast infection. You can buy it over the counter in any drug store and check on the package whether it is safe to use if pregnant. If you want to prevent these nasty infections, add more yogurt to your diet, as yogurt provides acidophiles. It's the good bacteria that resides in your vagina. Is it safe to use apple cider vinegar for vaginal washing to cure yeast infection if your pregnant?
i heard plain yogurt is good really!!Is it safe to use apple cider vinegar for vaginal washing to cure yeast infection if your pregnant?
Uh. SEE A F**KING DOCTOR. Jesus christ...
STOP!!! You NEVER douch when you are pregnant!!!! If you force air up in your vagina when you are pregnant, it can be deadly..to you and the baby!! See your doctor, she will prescribe you a safe yeast infection treatment.
That's not going to cure a yeast infection. Instead, it will only make it worse! Have you been ';washing'; (douching) often? This is likely to have caused the imbalance that led to infection in the first place. You need to see a doctor.
there is no doctor in your area?
you may want to talk to your obgyn about it first...they might want to do it differently

    Fruit and vegetable wash:

Add 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar to 1 pint water and use to wash fresh fruits and vegetables, then rinse thoroughly. Research has shown that vinegar helps kill bacteria on fruits and vegetables. Can washing lettuce and tomatoes with white vinegar effectively disinfect them?
Adapted from Total Renewal: 7 Key Steps to Resilience, Vitality %26amp; Long-Term Health, by Frank Lipman, M.D. (Jeremy Tarcher, Putnam, 2003).

Food-borne illness derived from contaminated produce is the largest source of food poisoning.

SIMPLE SOLUTION: Susan Sumner, a food scientist at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, developed an effective disinfecting procedure using white vinegar (or cider vinegar) and 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (the same as found at the drugstore). These ingredients are completely nontoxic and inexpensive and work not only on fruit and vegetables but can be used to sanitize counters and preparation surfaces, including wooden cutting boards, as well.

Here are the very simple directions for using these ingredients effectively:

After you put the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide into individual spray bottles:

    1. Spray your produce or work surface thoroughly first with vinegar and then with hydrogen peroxide.

    2. Then rinse the produce under running water or wipe the surface with a clean wet sponge.

use 1/3 cup vinegar to 2/3 cups of water use it in the rinse water. How to use Vinegar, Baking Soda %26amp; Lemon Juice while washing cloths.?
Well I never use any of these thing麓s for washing my clothes. and when I do hand wash clothes especially when getting rid of stains and for white clothes, I use the good old fashioned soap bar. ( Natural Soap). It cost麓s very little and washes clothes very well. And for getting my clothes white, no need for all these thing麓s I use the sun, The sun bleaches your whites whiter than white , if you wash them this way. Soak in cold water, remove from the water , rub in the soap. Leave the soap on and clothes free from water 1/2 hr or more. then back to the water give a rub to your clothes, rub in more soap , give your clothes yet another rub, if you had a machine , then I would say pop into your machine on a 30潞c or 40潞c normal wash , Now give them a good rinse, If you are washing whites , hang them out as normal, If you are washing dark clothes , turn them inside out . This will stop the sun from bleaching the color out of your dark clothes. The colder the wash the softer your clothes will be and they also last longer this way

I've just tried vinegar through my washing machine and it didn't get the desired result, what else peoples?

If you are trying to get a smell out of the washer, put a cup of bleach in with a large load of hot water. Let sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then wash. You can run 2 rinse cycles to make sure you get all the bleach out. Take a cleaning rag and wipe out the machine wherever you can reach. Make sure the lid stays open between washings to prevent the smell from coming back.

If you're trying to get the musty smell out of laundry, put 1/2 cup to 1 cup of baking soda in with your laundry detergent.

What ';result'; are you looking for? Is it stain removal.. Odors? You may want to be more specific with your question.

I've never used vinegar in my wash.... I use baking soda.. I put a cup in with the wash water.. I use 1/2 the amount of detergent and my clothes come out smelling clean/fresh.... It also helps remove stains... I do recommend SOAKINg the laundry and running the cycle as usual for best results..

Good luckI've just tried vinegar through my washing machine and it didn't get the desired result, what else peoples?
For odor, especially those musty towels, I use rubbing alcohol. Just pour 1/3 of a bottle in with the wash water. Try to hang up your wet towels and let them dry to avoid putting in the laundry wet. Wet towels and other laundry items actually grow bacteria, and this is the reason for the smell.
What is the problem that you have? And what is your desired outcome? Do you have stains, odor....

is that good for your skin or something???Why did Sherly Temple's mother wash her with vinegar???
Vinegar can be used to clean the hair and skin, but it can burn. Shirley Temple probably had loads of moose and spray in her hair. I use vinegar sometimes in my hair to clean all the junk out that styling products put in.Why did Sherly Temple's mother wash her with vinegar???
    it kills germs
because her daughter was a douche!
Cider vinegar, when added 2 the bath, softens water and can help people with skin conditions. Also it has been used for rinsing hair after wash - i think to strengthen hair.

It greatly increases your risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID); vaginal irritations and infections such as bacterial vaginosis; and even risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).When your on your period y do old people say wash up in vinegar.....but u take a shower everyday when ur on it
